His Story
Meet Pastor Bruce Edward Porter
Bruce Edward Porter has served the body of Christ for decades, bringing the Word of God to life through expository preaching and heartfelt pastoral care. His ministry is rooted in a deep love for Scripture and a passion for seeing lives transformed by the grace of Jesus Christ.
A graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, Bruce also served as Registrar and Instructor at Florida Bible College. His pastoral calling has taken him across the country — from planting Island Community Church in Islamorada, Florida Keys, to founding Dayspring Fellowship in Keizer, Oregon.
Alongside his wife Maiza, Bruce now serves the congregation of Metolius Friends Evangelical Community Church with warmth, authenticity, and a deep commitment to the local church body.
